Crossflame is an active youth choir and orchestra ministry with members who come from 11 different schools in five counties of western North Carolina! We sing contemporary Christian music, "crossover" music and traditional sacred music. Crossflame's rehearsal time is filled with activities including choir, orchestra, drama and visual arts. In June of each year, we present a concert tour, and sing throughout the year in support of various outreach projects of the church.  Crossflame welcomes seventh through twelfth graders as part of the choir!

No audition is necessary to join! No test is given for membership! Just fill out a registration form and show up for practice on Monday afternoons during the school year. We will be glad to have you!

Rehearsals are Monday afternoons from 3:45 to 5:30

WE'LL BE HOME SOON!
6/20/2008 7:22:39 AM - RonComments Print This Article
In a little less than seven hours, we will be arriving at St. Luke's at the end of our thirteenth tour. We are all VERY tired and most of us are sporting very fashionable sunburns (my own legs have never been so red) after yesterday's rafting adventure. But our hearts are full, and our bond is strong. God has indeed filled our cup beyond expectation during our journey together.

We look forward to seeing you all at 3:00 p.m.! And when we arrive home (not the parking lot, but HOME), encourage us to tell you about the God moments we experienced, as well as the other stuff that is easier to talk about.

FINAL CONCERT OF TOUR!

Last night's concert at State St. UMC in Bristol was one of our best, despite the fact that we spent the better part of our day on rafts in the Nolichucky River. How our youth found the energy to sing so well last night is a mystery whose answer is known only to God! We certainly felt His Spirit as we sang.

Pictures of this concert will be posted within a couple of days! Please keep checking our website.

So we pretty much just road on the bus and had a concert this evening. If you talk to your choir member tonight, tell them to go to sleep. PLEASE. And please pray for safety as we go rafting tomorrow and pray for energy as we sing tomorrow evening.
PS Loads of pics should be up- click on the scrapbook link on the left and go to 2008 tour- enjoy!
PPS- Don't panic when no one posts anything Thursday night- I'm gone and everyone's exhausted.
Triple PS- Thanks so much for your support of tour this year! And if you're reading this after tour and you're a choir member or chaperone who has pics you want to put up on the website, submit them, please! I'll have them up as soon as I can! :D
